Our nursery for Evie

In june last year we were asked by our beautiful friend and neighbour Kristie if we would create a shabby nursery for her baby girl who was due in september. We were so excited we jumped straight on ebay in search of vintage nursery pieces. We were fortunate in finding a lovely old children's wardrobe as well as a pretty little side cupboard. All we had to do was add some precious embellishments, a fresh coat of mill flour paint, finished off with glass knobs. After a futile search for dainty fabrics for some custom bunting flags, pretty window coverings etc we ended up mostly using bits and pieces of our own collection.Starting with a completely empty room we began by painting the room to picture rail height in a lovely colour called
"Old Rose".

Beautiful bow embellishments found on ebay USA
Painted gold frames white along with wooden letters, added pretty fabric and trim and then placed above cot

Every little girl needs a chandelier in her room

Found soft shabby linens at baby bunting, along with new comforter from ebay
Nearly completed just need the new wood flooring laid
A gorgeous shabby nursery fit for a princess!!!!

Darling "Evie Olive" with her gorgeous mum Kristie.
